Campaigning -- January 17, 2007 through January 19th, 2009

The 2008 Campaign
Barack Obama, then junior United States Senator from Illinois, announced his candidacy for the presidency of the United States in Springfield, Illinois, on February 10, 2007.  On August 27, 2008, he was declared nominee of the Democratic Party for the 2008 presidential election.  He was the first African American in history to run on a major party ticket.  On August 23, 2008, Barack Obama's campaign announced that Senator Joe Biden of Delaware would be the Vice Presidential nominee.  On November 4, 2008, Obama won the election -- and then America asked, "who is this guy?"

Obama In Charge -- January 20, 2009 through August 3, 2011

Governing
In the 30 months since the inauguration, Obama has governed as you expect.  Since he had no experience at anything more than rabble-rousing before this job, Obama installed dozens of "Czars" -- political officers -- what the Soviets called "Commissars" -- to implement his socialist agenda.

He has bowed his way around the world, and apologized for all of the sins of the evil United States, while at the same time telling the easily fooled that he is the one they have been waiting for.

More Campaigning -- August 4, 2011 through November 5, 2012

The 2012 Campaign
Although the 2012 Campaign began in the spring of 2011, the real campaign began at Barack Obama's 50th birthday party, August 4the, 2011 -- although there are no primary artifacts available to certify that date -- governing is now Obama's part-time job.  Campaigning is now his first priority.
