Items on this page are archived in
the order of discovery -- however, you may want to look at the
individual items in reverse -- bottom-up -- order, to appreciate how the
clamor for Obama's bona fides has dramatically increased since the early
days of Obama's usurpation.
A Tool Of Intimidation
Obots assign American citizens who have questions
about Barack Obama and his goals to "The Fringe." This
intimidation technique is meant to diminish and discredit
anybody who doesn't tow the Obama line. It's another form
of the "race card" trick.
As
more and more people come to understand Obama's far-left agenda
and mysterious background, they question his eligibility. "The
Fringe" is now composed of a huge segment of the American
population -- and it is growing.
More And More Americans Want To
Know
One of the favorite tactics of the political Left is to smear their
political opponents. They follow
Alinsky's guideline
-- "Ridicule is man's most potent weapon." They ridicule, personalize
and attack those they disagree with, because they can not, and will not,
debate the issues.
The Left is unable to defend Obama's decision to
hide his bona fides from the
American People, so they
attack anybody that dares to ask Obama to release his
documentation. One of their favorite tactics is to tar the
questioner as a "Birther," or relegate the skeptic to the "fringe."
An AOL Poll that asks the question: "Do you think
it's fair to question President Obama's citizenship?"
At 6 AM, on
12/6/09, the results were: 67% "Yes" -- 33% "No" -- and this is AOL, hardly a conservative website.
That's some fringe -- AOL visitors, by a factor of two-to-one,
believe Obama should release his bona fides and end the
controversy.
YouPolls.com has taken down
their December 4th poll that asks the question, "Is Obama's
birth certificate a valid question." Obviously, they
didn't like the respondents' answers -- 83% "Yes" -- 17% "No."
YouPolls.com is still running the one
asking,
"Is Obama a one term President?" -- 94? "Yes -- 5.7% "No" --
expect that one to disappear soon.
"Arkansas is the first of four states
where we've polled the birther issue (Virginia, North Carolina, and
Colorado were the others) and found less than half of respondents
confident that Obama is a natural born citizen. The numbers are
particularly dramatic among Republicans with 49% saying Obama was not
born here to just 23% who grant that he was."
Tens Of Millions Doubt Obama Eligibility
Bob Unruh says a new Washington Post/ABC poll
has asked whether Americans believe President Obama was born in the
United States -- arguably one component of the Constitution's demand
that presidents be "natural born" citizens -- and it has revealed that
even one in seven Democrats says he was born "in another country."
Producers of the poll, which done by the mainstream media is a
reflection itself of how much concern over Obama's eligibility has
grown, described the assessment and its finding that 20 percent of all
respondents said he was born abroad to 77 percent with faith that he was
born in the United States as taking "another bite at the
Birther apple."
But when
David Weigel blogged about it at the newspaper, citing 31 percent of
Republicans who doubt Obama's citizenship and explaining "Birtherism has
remained a stubborn belief in the conservative base, despite widespread
denunciation from elite conservatives," one forum page participant tried
to put it in perspective.
"So, this poll shows 31 percent and
the Gallup poll … on the last 'fringe' threat showed up to 46 percent.
Either way, that's TENS OF MILLIONS of Americans," wrote "JakeD2."
Actually, 31 percent of the U.S. population would range about 100
million.
"I'm still not sure how that large of a group qualifies
as 'fringe' (you realize that 50 percent plus 1 would actually be a
MAJORITY, right?). More importantly, for the sake of clearing up
any confusion and the historical record, Obama should simply consent to
the release of his LONG FORM birth certificate. Why won't he do
that?"
In the middle of 2009, a scientific poll revealed that
most Americans were aware of the dispute over Obama's eligibility.
By then there had been numerous lawsuits alleging that Obama failed to
meet the "natural born citizen" requirement of the Constitution.
Although that term is not defined in the Constitution, experts who have
analyzed the term in the context of the time it was written believe that
meant a person born in the U.S. of two U.S. citizens. While Obama
has stated that he was born in Hawaii, his father never was a U.S.
citizen, making Obama a dual citizen at birth. Many contend that
alone disqualifies him from being a "natural born" citizen. Others
contend he might not even have been born in Hawaii, since the
"Certification of Live Birth" Obama's campaign released is only a
summary form of a type that was available to children not born in Hawaii
at the time.
Another scientific poll earlier this year
revealed barely half of voters -- 51.5 percent -- said they consider
Obama a legitimate president.
In that poll, 14.6 percent of
Democrats said they do not consider him a legitimate president, along
with 52.2 percent of Republicans and nearly 32 percent of Independents.
The Post/ABC project commentary challenged those suspicions.
"[Some] among those inclined to think Obama was born abroad also say
that's their suspicion only, not a judgment based on solid evidence,"
the poll reports.
Of course that's what the dozens of lawsuits
and other challenges to Obama, including a court challenge being
assembled by Lt. Lt. Terry Lakin, have been about: Seeking documentation
one way or another. Lakin has refused to follow Army orders until
he's seen documentation of Obama's eligibility to be commander-in-chief,
and his attorneys have expressed confidence that during a coming
court-martial hearing, there will be the right of "discovery" to
document the validity of the chain of command up to Obama.
The
poll cast itself as a referendum on those who approve or disapprove of
Obama.
One
shocking result of this poll -- 1 In 7 Democrats Are "Birthers."
Just 51% Of Americans Believe Obama Eligible
Bob Unruh is reporting that nearly 1/2 of U.S.
citizens say Obama is not a "legitimate president."
A
new poll -- conducted by the public opinion research
and media consulting company
Wenzel Strategies
-- marking Barack Obama's one year as president reveals Americans are
questioning his legitimacy to hold the office, fear his plans and doubt
even his friends.
"Typically, a political figure in trouble from
pursuing a radical agenda generally tacks to the political center, but
there is no evidence that Obama is interested in following conventional
wisdom on this point. Democrats nationwide may face the fallout in
November," warned Fritz Wenzel of Wenzel Strategies.
The poll
revealed if the 2012 election were held today, Obama would come in
second to an unspecified opponent.
The Wenzel poll was
conducted by telephone from Jan. 14-17 using an automated telephone
technology calling a random sampling of listed telephone numbers
nationwide. The survey included 30 questions and carries a 95
percent confidence interval. It included 823 likely voters and has
a margin of error of 3.65 percentage points.
Wenzel said voters
have advanced in their opinions of the issue of Obama's legitimacy from
some six months ago when most Americans said they were aware of the
questions being raised.
When asked if they consider Obama a
"legitimate president," 32.6 percent said no, and another 15.8 percent
said they were not sure. Barely half of the voters, 51.5 percent
said they do consider Obama a legitimate president even though he has
yet to produce a long-form birth certificate that would prove he was
born in the U.S.
Poll Stories Of The Year -- Number 10 -- Rise of the
Birthers
Have you heard of the questions that have been raised by some that
Barack Obama should not be president because he has not provided a birth
certificate that proves he was born on American soil as the U.S.
Constitution requires? He claims to have been born in Hawaii,
while others cite records and statements that show he was born in Kenya.
The people demanding he prove his birth location have been tagged as
"Birthers," and those who consider these questions inconvenient have
tried to marginalize their opponents by ignoring them or ridiculing
them (see Rule 5,
here).
I hadn’t paid much attention to this issue myself, so I
was surprised when the results to a
WorldNetDaily/Wenzel
Strategies poll in June showed that 49% -- essentially half of all
American adults-- are not convinced that Obama meets the qualifications
for the presidency! Such a result wins this data point a spot at Number
10 on my Top Ten Countdown
List for 2009. It could easily be Number One
-- but Obama has so far been able to deflect calls for him to prove his
origins. Pending court action may change that in 2010.
The
polling data shows this is not just a Republican fetish. Even among
Democrats, almost one in every four -- 23% said they were either
troubled by these questions about Obama or that he should definitely
release all records about the circumstances of his birth, including his
long–form birth certificate -- if one exists -- to put this question to
rest once and for all. Even among independent voters, 52% said the same
thing.
Men were slightly more likely than women to say Obama
should produce his birth certificate, and people in Obama’s age cohort
--
those in their 40s and 50s -- were much more likely than those younger
and older to say the same thing.
When this question was asked
back in June, Obama was riding high in public opinion polls and this
issue was not much of a threat to Obama. But now, Obama’s
job approval rating is lower than any president has ever been at this
early point in his term, and he is facing little or no improvement in
the economy and is pushing an agenda that has proven quite unpopular
with the American people. In this circumstance, the Birthers have an
issue that could prove very powerful, and the White House denials to
produce definitive documentation proving his American birth only feed
the movement.
Nearly 60% Say Obama’s Decisions Are Bad For America
CNSNews.com reports a majority of Americans believe an increased
government role in health care would lead to more government corruption,
while a plurality of Americans think that scientific data supporting
man-made global warming is "mostly falsified." That is what a new
poll by Survey USA reveals.
The poll also shows that 58 percent
of Americans believe that decisions by the Obama administration have
been "bad for America," as opposed to 37 percent who think Obama’s
decisions have been "good for America."
These poll numbers come
at a time when Barack Obama is pushing for international agreement to
address apparent global warming and is also advocating for a major
overhaul of health care in America.
The poll of 1,450 adults by
Survey USA was conducted Dec. 11-14, and was commissioned by the
conservative government watchdog group Judicial Watch. The poll
asked questions on several topics, including government corruption,
transparency, illegal immigration and the Association of Community
Organizers for Reform Now (ACORN).
Public Policy Polling (PPP) has a whole slew of
poll results -- none are good for Obama and his agenda -- but they
slip this one in in the final paragraph:
20% of voters, including
35% of Republicans, support impeaching Obama for his actions so far.
PPP is not clear exactly what 'high crimes and misdemeanors' they are
using to justify that position but there may be a certain segment of
voters on both the right and the left these days that simply think Obama
doing things they don't agree with is grounds for removal from office.
Obama's Eligibility Spreading As An Issue Among The
States
Early 2010 and Bob Unruh is reporting that lawmakers in several state have jumped
into fray, seeking answers to this constitutional question.
The
demand for documentation of Barack Obama's eligibility to occupy the
Oval Office is surging, with lawmakers in several states now working on
legislation that could be used to require future presidential candidates
to reveal precisely how they are qualified under the U.S. Constitution's
demand for a "natural born citizen."
WorldNetDaily has reported
on a bill co-sponsored by some three dozen lawmakers in Arizona who want
to require candidates not only to submit the information, but state
officials to independently verify the accuracy, and bill sponsor Rep.
Judy Burges said she has started getting questions from other states who
want details about the proposal.
A separate proposal has been
created by a freedom of information action group in New York state, and
now the National Conference of State Legislatures, which monitors and
tabulates the work of legislative bodies, confirms through its database
that several other plans are in the works.
Some of the proposals
are very clear even without the full text. In New Hampshire, for
example, a pending plan would require "certified copies of birth
certificates for nominees for president and vice president."
Others are a little more oblique. In Georgia, for example,
lawmakers propose a bill "relating to procedures for qualification of
candidates generally, so as to require each candidate for public office
to be in compliance with certain disclosure requirements."
There
is no definitive word on what that would mean to presidential
candidates.
An Indiana proposal is equally unclear, because it
"authorizes a challenge to a candidate's eligibility to seek an office
to be filed by a registered voter of the jurisdiction conducting the
election." It could apply only to local elections.
In
Virginia, a summary says the proposal "provides that candidates shall
provide evidence of their qualifications for office to have their names
printed on the ballot. The State Board of Elections shall provide
a list of acceptable forms of evidence."
And in the New York
state plan proposed by a freedom of information organization to state
lawmakers would provide that "an individual seeking placement on the New
York State's election ballot(s) for the office of president or vice
president of the United States must present proof of eligibility, as per
requirements that are stated in Article 2, section 1, paragraph 5 of the
U.S. Constitution."
The proposals essentially are moving the same
direction as a federal measure proposed by Rep. Bill Posey, R-Fla.

Three In Ten Americans
An October 23rd item reported
that three-in-ten Americans think their current head of state was not
born in the United States, according to a poll by Angus Reid
Strategies. 70 per cent of respondents believe Barack Obama was born in
the U.S., while 30 per cent do not.
While only 13 per cent of Democratic Party supporters believe Obama
was not born in the U.S., the proportion rises to 25 per cent among
Independents and 51 per cent among Republican Party backers.
31% Are Unsure
Goddard's Political Wirepoints to
a new Public Policy Polling survey in
Arkansas shows that only 45% of voters in the state say they believe
Obama was born in this country, while 31% say they think he was not and
24% are unsure.
"Arkansas is the first of four states where we've

Obama Was Not Born In U.S., Republicans Say
Three-in-ten Americans think their current head of state was not
born in the United States, according to a poll by Angus Reid Strategies.
70 per cent of respondents believe Barack Obama was born in the U.S.,
while 30 per cent do not.
While only 13 per cent of Democratic
Party supporters believe Obama was not born in the U.S., the proportion
rises to 25 per cent among Independents and 51 per cent among Republican
Party backers.
In American elections, candidates require 270
votes in the Electoral College to win the White House. In November
2008, Democratic nominee Obama secured a majority of electoral votes,
defeating Republican candidate John McCain. In January, Obama
became the first African American president in U.S. history.
Article II of the U.S. Constitution establishes that only "natural born"
American citizens are eligible to become presidents.
Last year,
the Obama campaign team released a Certification of Live Birth, which
states that Obama was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, on Aug. 4, 1961.
The State of Hawaii only allows for the release of an original birth
certificate under "extenuating circumstances."
Earlier this
month, former House majority leader Tom Delay discussed his views on
Obama’s birth, saying, "Why wouldn’t the president of the United States
show the American people his birth certificate? You have to show a
birth certificate to play Little League baseball. It’s a question
that should be answered. It’s in the Constitution that you have to
be a natural born citizen of the United States to be president."
Polling Data
As you may have heard over the last few months,
there have been groups demanding to see President Obama’s birth
certificate. Do you believe that Obama was born in the United
States of America or not?
Methodology: Online interviews
with 1,009 American adults, conducted from Oct. 15 to Oct. 17, 2009.
Margin of error is 3.1 per cent.
30% is a pretty big "fringe."

The Washington Post is running an article entitled, "Supreme Court
Justice Barack Obama?" that suggests that Barack Obama has the qualities
that make him well suited to be a Supreme Court justice.
OK!
OK! The writer, Jeffrey Rosen, has obviously drunk the Kool-Aid,
but what's really cool is the poll attached to this love letter.
It presents this statement: "Barack Obama is best suited to be: " and
asks you to select one of four choices -- President; Senator; Supreme
Court Justice; or None of the above.
The results (2/21) are just
too delicious. Check it out

Majority of Republicans:
Obama is a Muslim
The Seattle
Post-Intelligence reports a new national Louis Harris poll finds that a
majority of Republicans believe that President Obama is a Muslim, while
45 percent agree with the so-called "Birthers" that the president was
"not born in the United States."
The poll of 2,230 Americans,
taken during last weekend's health care showdown in the House of
Representatives, shows how successful Obama's opponents have been in
demonizing the 44th president.
According to the poll, 57 percent
of Republicans, and 32 percent of Americans overall, believe that Barack
Obama is a Muslim. The opinion comes despite Obama's description in his
bestseller, "The Audacity of Hope", of his adoption of the Christian
faith.
The poll found that 45 percent of Republicans, and 25
percent in the overall survey, agree with Birthers that Obama was "not
born in the United States and so is not eligible to be president."
Even Fox News pundits, notably Bill O'Reilly, have dismissed the
Birthers' claims. The state of Hawaii produced Obama's birth certificate
during the 2008 campaign.
Another eye-opening finding: 38 percent
of Republicans, and 20 percent of Americans overall, agree that Obama is
"doing many things Hitler did."
And 24 percent of Republicans,
and 14 percent overall, agree that Obama "may be the antiChrist."
The poll found that voters lacking a college education are much more
likely to agree with more extreme myths and rumors about the 44th
president.
In a more conventional opinion -- echoing charges
from some House Republicans during the health care reform debate - 67
percent of Republicans believe Obama is a socialist, an opinion held by
40 percent of those surveyed.
One of yesterday's items focused on
the coming attacks from the ObamaMedia. This one is a classic, and it's
all about how to spin the results of a poll. It starts in the second
sentence. Notice how the writer uses the poll to demonstrate, "...how
successful Obama's opponents have been in demonizing the 44th
president."
Here's an Obot that reads a poll and
comes to all the
wrong conclusions. The writer attributes the results of the poll to
Obama's opponents' demonization of Obama. The results of this poll were driven by Obama's
history, behavior and words -- and the fact that Obama has vigorously
fought to keep his bona fides
from the eyes of the American People -- not anybody's "demonization."
The results of the poll
indicate Obama has a problem -- for whatever reason. Just look at these number:
6 out of 10 Republicans and 1 out of every 3 Americans have questions
about Obama's religion. Almost half of all Republicans and 1 out of
every 3 Americans have questions about Obama's eligibility. 4 out of
10 Republicans and 1 out of every 5 Americans have questions about
Obama's governance. 2 out of 10 Republicans and 1 out of every 3
Americans have questions about Obama being the antiChrist. 7 out of
10 Republicans and 2 out of every 5 Americans Believe Obama is a
socialist.
And the question is specific to Obama being a Muslim.
I would have to vote "No" in that survey. I don't believe Obama is a
Muslim. I do believe that Obama is very empathetic towards Islam,
Muslims and Islamic states. If the questions were broader, these
numbers would be a lot higher.
Regarding the writer's allegation
that Obama is a Christian, "...his adoption of the Christian faith," --
mayyyyybe?
Obama became a member of the Trinity UCC congregation
for political reasons. In the paperback version of "The Audacity of
Hope," in the chapter entitled "Faith," beginning on page 195, and
ending on page 208, Obama tells us that he doesn’t really have any
profound religious belief, but that in his early Chicago days he felt he
needed to acquire some spiritual "street cred."
When Obama first
undertook his agitating work in Chicago's South Side poor neighborhoods,
he was un-churched. Yet his office was in a Church and most of the
folks he needed to agitate and organize were Church people -- pastors
and congregants -- who took their churches and their church-going very
seriously. Again and again, he was asked by pastors and church ladies,
"Where do you go to Church, young man?"
So, Obama finally joined
a church, in part to deepen what one friend called "a whole web of
relationships" in the community that gave him a strong political base
and a well-connected mentor.
There's no record of a baptism,
anywhere, and strolling down the aisle of a black-nationalist church
that preaches a Marxist theology and pledging allegiance to the
Black
Value System does not a Christian make.
I've said it before,
Obama is a blend of Marx, Lenin, Stalin, Hitler, Mao, Che, Capone, Billy
Sunday, Boss Tweed, Muhammad, and Tupac -- he's a hybrid -- he use all
the tools -- whatever will get him power and keep him in power. He's
whatever you want him to be, and there's little he wouldn't do.
But the real killer in this propaganda piece is the writer using Bill
O'Reilly's authority to introduce this humungous lie, "The state of
Hawaii produced Obama's birth certificate during the 2008 campaign."
That is an absolute lie. It never happened. I challenge the Seattle
Post-Intelligence to prove that statement. Hawaii never, ever
produced Obama's birth certificate.
They won't. They
can't. Hawaii never, ever produced Obama's birth certificate.
But 8 or 9 of the people who read this stuff will remember
that "The state of Hawaii produced Obama's birth certificate during the
2008 campaign."
Oh, and
if you believe any of this anti-Obama propaganda that Obama's enemies
are spreading, you didn't go to college, and you're dumb.
Petition Surges Past 500,000
The unanswered questions over Barack Obama's
legitimacy as a president apparently are not going away. More than
half a million people have signed a petition demanding proof he is
eligible for the office.
The
questions about his eligibility under the Constitution's requirement
that the president must be a "natural born" citizen first were raised in
a series of legal cases before he was elected.
Now he's been in
office some 14 months -- not quite one-third of his term -- and more
than 500,000 people have signed a petition demanding to see the proof.
The
petition was addressed to the Electoral College, Congress, the
Federal Elections Commission, U.S. Supreme Court and others "demanding
that the constitutional eligibility requirement be taken seriously and
that any and all controlling legal authorities in this matter examine
the complete birth certificate of Barack Obama, including the actual
city and hospital of birth, and make that document available to the
American people for inspection."
As of early today, the signers
totaled 500,058 and the number was rising.
Majority Wants Obama Records
Bob Unruh says at a time when Barack Obama is
getting heat for stonewalling information about an alleged
administration bribery scandal, a new poll shows more Americans than
ever suspect Obama is hiding information about his own background and
want him to come clean.
Questions about Obama's eligibility,
exacerbated by his refusal to answer questions, release ordinary
background documentation and his extraordinary legal maneuvers to keep
his background hidden, have been on the radar of a number of top-level
investigative reporters and news organizations since before his
election.
Essentially, while the Constitution requires a
president to be a "natural born citizen," none of the questions about
Obama's qualifications -- or lack thereof -- under that requirement have
yet been answered.
"Simply put, this question about Obama's
legitimacy as president is undermining everything he does in the minds
of millions of Americas," wrote Fritz Wenzel of Wenzel Strategies in an
analysis of his results.
"Our latest polling shows a majority of
Americans -- 55 percent -- want Obama to release
all records relating to his
childhood and his education, including college records, Harvard Law
School papers, passport records, travel records, and other similar
documentation," he said.
"Asked what should be done should it be
found that Obama does not meet the qualifications to be president, 59
percent said he should be removed from office, and 35 percent said all
bills signed into law by Obama should be repealed," he said.
The
poll said when asked about whether Obama's background documentation --
the school records, birth records and others -- should be released, the
55 percent who said yes included more than 82 percent of the GOP, 55
percent of independents and nearly 28 percent of Democrats.
Further, another 17.1 percent of Americans said Obama should release
some of his documentation, making it nearly three in four Americans who
want Obama to unlock the steel door on some or all of his background
information.
Despite his campaign promises of transparency while
in office, there has been no shortage of disputes over secrecy in the
Obama administration. He's already argued in court for more
secrecy in the White House, claimed his work is "privileged" and
apparently got rid of an inspector general who was applying heat to a
friend.
The survey indicates Obama's orchestrated efforts to
marginalize "birthers"
who are raising questions about him and his background have failed
totally. The fact that only 65 percent of the members of his own
party will agree that he's been transparent is a "red flag," the
analysis said.
"When Barack Obama was campaigning for the U.S.
presidency, he promised one of the most open and transparent
administrations in the history of the county. Sixteen months into
his term, a majority of Americans believe he has failed. That a
majority of adults nationwide -- 56 percent -- said he has not run an
open administration is a stern rebuke because there is so much power
invested in the office of the presidency," said Wenzel.
Joseph Farrah says when the New York Times
finally conducted its first poll on eligibility questions haunting
Barack Obama, it asked them in ways specifically designed to make it
appear the general public thought the whole matter was settled -- as its
own newsroom culture does.
"Do you think President Obama was
born in the U.S. or another country?" the CBS/New York Times poll asked
sophomorically in April.
Still, even with such a skewed
question, the Big Media must have been shocked at the results: Only 58
percent of Americans think he was born in the United States.
It
was clear to Farrah then that Barack Obama is losing ground with the
American people each and every time he obfuscates on this issue,
stonewalls on the releases of personal documentation, ridicules those
who question him and counts on the media to ostracize all skeptics,
otherwise caricatured as "birthers."
So Farrah set out to do
another poll phrasing questions the way adult journalists would --
journalists who are not predisposed to believe anything and everything
Obama says.
Here's a key question: Recent polls suggest a
significant percentage of Americans are concerned about Barack Obama's
refusal to release his long-form birth certificate, school records,
college records, Harvard Law School papers, medical records, travel
records, passport records and other personal documents. What do
you think he should do?
In answer to that question, 55 percent said
"release all," including 28 percent of Democrats.
An even
larger percentage say Obama has not lived up to his campaign pledge
to be open and transparent.
A majority of Americans, 52
percent, say he is hiding something.
More than 51 percent
say no one can be sure about his eligibility without scrutiny of his
long-form birth certificate.
Only 41.6 percent disagree with
the statement: "I suspect he was not born in the U.S."
Some
48 percent agree with this statement: "We don't know enough about
Obama's birthplace, parentage and his residency in Indonesia to say
for sure" he is constitutionally eligible.
After the two solid years of the unrelenting media
barrage and attack against anyone and everyone who raises these
questions and who calls for more openness and transparency, how can this
be?
Isn't this a shocker?
How is it possible, that with
the media in virtual lockstep agreement that the eligibility question
has been settled, that the American people continue to express doubts?
How is it that those doubts are growing with each succeeding poll?
Terence P. Jeffrey
says Obama gets
majority approval rating only from Americans making less than $24,000
per year.
The middle class is abandoning Barack Obama, according
to data released by the Gallup Poll. The only income bracket among
which a majority still says they approve of the job he is doing are
those earning $2,000 per month or less.
During the week of June
7-13, only 46 percent of Americans overall told Gallup they approved of
the job Obama is doing, tying for the worst week of Obama's presidency.
Two weeks ago, forty-six percent also said they approved of the job
Obama is doing, and last week 47 percent said they approved.
But
when Obama’s approval is separated by incomes groups, it is only the
lowest income bracket recorded by Gallup -- those who earn less than
$2,000 per month -- that gives Obama a majority approval rating, with 52
percent saying they approved of the job he is doing.
Among those
earning $2,000 to $4,999 per month (or $24,000 to $59,988 per year), 46
percent said they approved of the job Obama is doing. Among those
earning $5,000 to $7,499 per month ($60,000 to $89,988 per year), 44
percent said they approved of the job Obama is doing. And among
those earning $7,500 or more per month ($90,000 per year or more), the
highest income bracket recorded by Gallup, 47 percent said they approved
of the job Obama is doing.
The last time Obama’s approval topped
50 percent among the $24,000 to $59,988 income bracket was the week of
May 10-16, when it was 51 percent. The last time it topped 50
percent among the $60,000 to $89,988 income bracket was the week of May
3-9, when it was 51 percent. The last time Obama’s approval topped
50 percent among the $90,000 and above income bracket was the week of
April 19-25, when it was 51 percent.
Obama’s current 52 percent
approval among Americans earning less than $2,000 per month is the
lowest it has been among that income bracket in his presidency. In
the week of April 19-25, his approval was at 60 percent in this income
bracket. It has dropped eight points since then.
The week
of his inauguration -- Jan. 19-25, 2009 -- Obama’s approval was 73
percent among those earning less than $2,000 per month, 66 percent among
those earning between $2,000 and $4,999, 69 percent among those earning
$5,000 to $7,499 per month, and 66 percent among those earning $7,500
per month or more.
Americans Don't Care Much For Obama
These are the
results of the latest polling done by Abrams, Herzog & Filippi
Analytics for U.S.E. News. The question asked was, "What grade
would you give Obama as President Of The United States as of today?:
• 36% gave
Obama the failing grade of "F"
•
19% gave Obama the scraping by grade of "D"
• 24% gave Obama a gentleman's
grade of "C"
• 13% gave
Obama a respectable grade of "B"
•
8% gave Obama a grade of "A"
Obama would get a D or F grade by 55% of the American public -- a
complete failure by any yardstick.
Only 21% of Americans
believe that Obama is doing a good job -- and that's the 21% of
Americans receiving Obama's reparation and redistribution money.
Not Even 4 In 10 Believe Obama Birth Story
Bob Unruh says not even four in 10 people
across America believe Obama's narrative about being born in Hawaii,
according to a new poll.
A new 60 Minutes/Vanity Fair poll shows
that only 39 percent of respondents believe Obama was born in Hawaii as
he wrote in his book.
The magazine boasted, "A whopping 63
percent -- very nearly two-thirds of us -- went out on a limb and stated
for the record that we believe in the United States. It's enough
to make you proud to be an American -- or 63 percent proud, at any
rate."
But that included those who say they believe he was born
in Kansas or some other unknown state, which still would conflict with
Obama's narrative.
The question asked, "Do you think Barack
Obama was BORN IN the United States, or do you think he was born in
another country?"
Thirty-nine percent said they believe he was
born in Hawaii, 1 percent identified Kansas as his birthplace and 3
percent said "someplace else in the U.S." A full one in five -- 20
percent -- said they were not sure in which state Obama was born.
The Perpetual View Blog
says a new poll by CNN, whose editorial commentary largely supports
Obama and his policies, delivered some bad news on his apparent birthday
today: 6 of 10 people are uncertain Obama was even born in the United
States.
The poll was taken July 16-21 of 1,018 adults, including
335 Democrats and 285 Republicans. It has a margin of error of 3
percentage points.
The question was: "Do you think Barack Obama
was definitely born in the United States, probably born in the United
States, probably born in another country, or definitely born in another
country?"
Definitely in the United States got the vote
from 42 percent of the respondents. 29 percent said Obama was
probably born in the U. S. 16 percent said Obama probably was
born in another country. 11 percent said he definitely was born
somewhere other than the U.S.
That's 6 of 10 Americans uncertain about the
circumstances of Obama’s birth -- and therefore his eligibility under
the U.S. Constitution even to be president.
1 in 3 Democrats are not sure -- 64 percent of
Democrats believe he definitely was born in the U.S. 2 in 3
Independents are unsure -- for independents, 37 percent believe he
definitely was born in the U.S. 7 out of 10 GOPers are unsure --
only 23 percent believes Obama was definitely born in the U.S.
Fully 41 percent of the GOP believe he definitely
or probably was born outside the United States, and it’s nearly 30
percent for Independents.
"It’s surely not what the leader of the
free world wants for his birthday. But, for a stubborn group of
Americans, conspiracy theories about President Obama’s birthplace are
the gifts that keep on giving," CNN said.
Majority Of Likely GOP Primary Voters Are
Birthers
Alex Pareene
says fifty-one percent of people who say they're likely to
participate in a Republican primary next year are
Birthers, according to a new poll
from Public Policy Polling. Twenty-eight percent firmly believe
that Barack Obama was born in the United States and 21 percent are
unsure. "If anything," PPP writes, "Birtherism is on the rise."
Of course it is! Who's combating it?
Birthers have an 83
percent favorable opinion of Sarah Palin, by the way.
I think
these are largely casual Birthers -- not the ones who examine the
"evidence" such as it is and concoct bizarre conspiracy theories, but
people who believe it because they heard it somewhere, and they don't
like Obama. Dave Weigel says "Birtherism has become another screen
for extreme partisanship," with Birthers giving higher favorability
marks to Palin, Huckabee and Gingrich than the non-conspiratorial
respondents.
The fact that Birthers are now the most dedicated
Republicans helps explain why Republicans like Speaker John Boehner
decline to debunk Birtherism when offered the opportunity.
Republicans are generally less willing than Democrats to disown their
base, which inspires greater party loyalty and also leads to a huge
segment of the electorate believing elaborate fictions about nearly
everything related to politics and policy.
And now the majority
of the people who will decide which person will be the next presidential
candidate for one of the United States' two major political parties are
convinced of a bizarre and untrue conspiracy theory about the current
president. Democracy is flourishing!
One other interesting
finding: Romney is still in a surprisingly strong position, with a slim
majority of respondents declaring him "qualified" for the presidency.
That isn't much, but it's better than everyone else.
Salon.com supports Obama and the
writer is aGullible,
but is interesting nonetheless. It demonstrates the number of
American People who have a problem with Obama's story continues to
increase, and how the ObamaMedia is concerned about
these folks and has resorted to describing them with pejoratives and
ridicule -- Alinsky would be proud.
91% Question Obama's Eligibility
Bob Unruh says not even one person in 10
believes Barack Obama has shown that he is eligible to be president of
the United States, according to a stunning new scientific poll that also
reveals political Independents have less tolerance than even Republicans
for his efforts to obfuscate the issue.
"The shocking result in
this survey is that just 9 percent said they believe Obama has met the
requirements to prove he was born in the United States and is therefore
qualified to be president," said Fritz Wenzel, chief of Wenzel
Strategies, which conducted the assessment.
"Even when you
combine those who say such questions are not valid with those who
believe he has satisfied the requirements, it still falls short of
equaling the percentage who said he should step forward and prove his
birth origin once and for all," he said.
Wenzel Strategies, an
independent public opinion research firm based in Ohio, conducted a
nationwide telephone poll using a randomly selected sample of all
adults. The survey, including 1,095 respondents, was conducted
March 15-17, 2011, and carries a confidence interval of 95 percent and a
margin of error of +/- 2.93 percentage points.
"The question of
whether Barack Obama is eligible to hold the office of president is
remarkable in that so many people are aware of the questions that remain
unanswered. The survey shows that 77 percent are aware of the
issue, and another 12 percent said they are unsure, which likely means
they know a little but not enough to articulate details," Wenzel said in
his analysis of the results.
"Given the level of interest that
the American public now devotes to politics, especially in an
off-election year, this finding is remarkable. It speaks volumes
about Obama's unwillingness or inability to satisfy this question once
and for all," he said.
It was back in June 2009 when Wenzel
asked the simple question, "Are you aware of questions raised about
Barack Obama's constitutional eligibility for the office of president?"
and 51.3 percent responded yes.
This month, 77 percent of the
Democrats who responded said they are. Nearly 82 percent of the
Republicans are, and almost 69 percent of the Independents.
Overall, 76.8 percent said yes, and another 11.7 percent said they were
unsure. Only 11.5 percent said there were not aware of the
questions.
"Half of those surveyed said they believe these
questions about Obama's legitimacy as president are either troubling or
should be satisfied by Obama. In fact, more people want Obama to
prove his legitimacy -- 42 percent -- than believe that the lingering
questions are not valid -- 32 percent," Wenzel said.
That
division is 41.9 percent who say Obama should prove his birth story,
including 60.9 percent of Independents, 58.6 percent of Republicans and
13.2 percent of Democrats.
Another 7.9 percent the questions are
troubling
"What is most interesting is the response on this
question of Independent voters: Fully 61 percent of Independents said
they want Obama to prove once and for all his birth origin, which is a
higher percentage than even among Republicans. Men are also
somewhat more skeptical than women," Wenzel said.
Susan Page
says Obama released his long-form birth certificate last month,
confirming he was born in Hawaii, but that hasn't settled the question
of his birthplace for some Americans.
In a Gallup Poll taken May
5-8, 47% of those surveyed -- less than a majority -- say they believe
Obama was "definitely" born in the United States. Another 18% say
he "probably" was born here.
But a third of Americans remain
skeptical or unsure: 8% say he probably was born elsewhere, 5% say he
definitely was, and 20% say they don't know enough to say.
The
poll of 1,018 adults, taken by landline and cellphone, has a margin of
error of +/-4 percentage points.
Ten percent of Republicans
continue to say Obama was definitely born elsewhere, compared with 5% of
independents and 2% of Democrats. Southerners and those with lower
levels of income and education are most likely to doubt that Obama was
born in the USA.
Susan
demonstrates that she is the prototypical
Gullible by writing, "Obama
released his long-form birth certificate last month, confirming he was
born in Hawaii."
Has she
seen it? No. Has any other "journalist" seen it? No.
Has any independent forensic document examiner examined it? No.
Susan wrote that statement based solely on the word of Team Obama.
I will
give Susan credit, however, for correctly identifying Obama's citizenship status
as "native born," not "natural born."
These numbers show a
slight, favorable increase for Obama since the August 2010
CNN poll, but not enough to indicate that the release of
Obama's latest counterfeit "birth certificate" has really changed
anybody's mind.
New Poll: Obama Not Born In The USA
America's
Conservative News
says if you doubt Barack Obama was born in the United States and
doubt his eligibility to serve as President of the United States, yet
another poll has just confirmed that you're not alone. Public Policy
Polling (PPP), a Democratic polling company (yes, you read that right, a
Democratic polling firm), just released the results of its latest poll
on December 18 and some of the more shocking findings were, yet again,
totally ignored and buried by the LameStream Media.
Among those
results, a whopping 52% of self-identified caucus goers in Iowa said
they either believe that Barack Obama was not born in the United States
(31%) or said they were not sure if Obama was born in the United States
(21%). Again, the media totally ignored this bombshell and decided,
instead, to report another finding of the poll, namely that Congressman
Ron Paul is gaining an edge among Iowa caucus goers.
And here's
another shocking revelation from the poll. Just in case you may be
thinking that only "rabid TEA Party types" doubt Obama is eligible to
serve as President of the United States, the same poll found that a
whopping 74% did not consider themselves to be members of the TEA Party
movement and moreover, 28% described themselves as either "very
liberal," "liberal," or "moderate."
While we're on the subject
shocking trends possibly uncovered by the PPP poll, here are some more
interesting findings, also ignored by the LameStream Media, which could
indicate that Obama is doomed to be a one-term president.
Among
the poll respondents, only 55% claimed that they participated in the
2008 Republican Iowa Caucus. 32% claimed they didn't vote in the 2008
caucus and 13% actually claimed that they voted in the Democratic Caucus
in Iowa in 2008. Those findings should be very disturbing to Team Obama
because they could indicate that a massive shift may be occurring across
the nation. At least in Iowa, a massive ground-shift is taking place as
people are either switching teams or becoming engaged for the first
time.
The PPP Poll also may have discredited yet another myth
that the GOP establishment and the LameStream Media have been beating
like a cheap drum; namely that Republicans are mainly looking to a
candidate that "can beat Barack Obama." According to the PPP Poll only
32% of respondents listed a "candidate's ability to beat Obama" as the
most important criteria in deciding which candidate to support and a
clear majority (56%) claimed the candidates’ stands on the issues were
the most important criteria.
Of course, the PPP Poll is not the
first poll showing that large numbers of Americans still doubt Obama's
eligibility. A number of nationwide polls over the past two years have
confirmed that doubt has been wide-spread for some time. The most recent
of these polls is a
June 2011 Wenzel survey which indicated that even 28% of Democrats
wanted Congress to investigate Obama's eligibility AFTER the
publication of Obama's alleged long-form birth certificate on the
Internet.
Even a
CNN poll taken back in August of 2010, which was heavily
weighted toward Democrats, indicated that 6 in 10 of Americans doubt
Obama was born in the United States. The LameStream Media continues to
ignore the questions over Obama's eligibility but the American people
refuse to let the issue die and, this much is sure, it will likely be
the issue that dare not speak its name in the November election.
Bob Unruh is reporting that half of Americans are unconvinced that
Barack Obama’s birth certificate, released in 2011 at the White House
amidst fanfare and proclamation that it is “proof positive” of Obama’s
eligibility to be president, is authentic.
About the same number
disbelieve his eligibility to be president, and the skeptics also say he
has not provided adequate and “authentic” documentation about his
qualifications to sit as commander in chief in the Oval Office.
The confirmation numbers are the newest on the long running debate over
Obama’s eligibility and occupancy of the presidency, and are from a
WND/Wenzel Poll conducted exclusively by the public-opinion research and
media consulting company
Wenzel Strategies.
The scientific telephone survey was
conducted March 10-13 and has a margin of error of 3.72 percentage
points.
The poll reveals that nearly 33 percent of the
respondents say they do not believe Obama has “provided adequate and
authentic documentation that he is qualified to serve as president.”
And another 14 percent say they are uncertain whether he has.
According to Dr. Bruce Merrill, senior fellow at
Morrison Institute and the poll’s director, the findings indicate a
disconnect between the policies of the state Legislature and the average
voter in Arizona.
Six in 10 (60 percent) Arizona voters would support a
“birther bill” requiring presidential candidates to sign an affidavit
affirming they are American citizens.
Support is highest among
registered Republicans (76 percent support the idea) while 58 percent of
Democrats oppose it.
The Legislature passed the bill in 2011, but
the governor vetoed it, saying that such a law “could lead to arbitrary
or politically motivated decisions.”
Efforts to revive a "Birther
bill" for the 2012 session were unsuccessful.
Poll details
Fifty-nine percent of the 488 telephone interviews were conducted in
Maricopa County, 16 percent in Pima County and 25 percent in Arizona’s
other counties. Forty-nine percent of the voters interviewed were men;
51 percent women.
The sample was weighted to be 36 percent
Republican, 30 percent Democrat and 34 percent registered independents
or "others." The sample was selected so as to include representative
samples cell phone users and Hispanics.
The sampling error for
the statewide sample survey is plus or minus 4.4 percent.
The
interviews were live and conducted April 10-14 and April 16-20.
